Touch A Life Down In Haiti – 7th February, 2010

Story by: Dominique Vidale-Plaza
Liberty University students turned out in their numbers to take part in Superbowl festivities hosted by two student groups to raise funds for Haiti. The evening started with a short worship service and sermon by Zimbabwean student – Albert Mavunga. It was extremely heartening to see students from all races, from all around the US, and all around the world turn out to support the cause. Haitian students were invited to stand and those in attendance prayed corporately for their needs and for their country. Before the game started, a buffet of jerk and curried chicken was served and a video from the World Help organization was shown. World Help is currently delivering much needed aid to Haiti and the students who were responsible for this event hope to do the same. The turnout was incredible, lives were touched right in that classroom before the game started, and certainly the money raised will touch even more lives down in Haiti.
